Brass

This piece was conceived as a timeless, architectural structure in brass, a suspended dialogue between the eight conical lights around the edges and the ninth, smaller, cylindrical light at the centre of the base, the shamash. The truncated cone acts simultaneously as both wrapping and support to the structure. The brass sheet includes an oval window that suggests infinity. The shamash, in turn, serves as both the piece’s centre of gravity and its vanishing point.
