Flavio Costantini

35,7 x 19,1 cm

Mixed media on cardboard

The work, in the typical style of the artist and illustrator, is a drawing on cardboard, heavy and elegant, of a hanukkiah. From a hexagonal base which resembles a six-pointed star rises the hanukkiah, drawn from a forced and impossible perspective. A column with light grooving is the trunk from which eight arms extend horizontally, equidistant, with candleholders at the end of each. The top of the column, slimmer compared to the others, is the shamash, which is decorated at its tip with a Star of David.
