Acrylic on canvas

The painted surface appears to greet and describe the interference of gravitational bands, recording the movement of waves and celestial bodies in orbit and then transferring all this into the painted space. The branches of the hanukkiah are thus simple coloured geometric lines that originate from a single point on the canvas, stretching outwards. The ninth light, the shamash, is clearly represented by the yellow ray of light that radiates from the common centre. Chromatically the artist creates extreme dialectical oppositions, from the iridescence of the reds to the icy whites, sunny yellows and deep blues, using all the colours of the spectrum.
