Bronzed iron

This work is based on a philological interpretation of the description in the Bible of the first menorah; the artist has re-created the naturalness of the organic forms, emphasising the relationship between growth and development in the plant kingdom, and the hanukkiah as the evolution of the menorah. The structure is simple. The lamp is designed to represent a plant. The bronzed iron arms are twisted together at the bottom and then separate in space, a wave-like pattern to become the eight arms of the hanukkiah.
