This pyramid-shaped lamp depicts a highly stylised tree. Four diffe- rently-sized and differently-spaced branches extend from the trunk. The branches are designed to resemble human arms, with hands at the end to hold the candles. The shamash is at the top and is the only candle held in two hands, that join at the tip of the pyramid. The trunk and its extensions have a rough, uneven surface in a bold enamelled blue colour gradually fading to white towards the hands.
