This brass lamp consists of four violins cut open down the middle lengthwise. The violins are seen from the front and arranged one behind the other. The base is another violin body that has been laid horizontally. Instead of the neck and scroll, the sections of the musical instrument, four on each side, have the traditional Hanukkah candles. The only violin neck that is present rises from the open bodies at the centre of the structure and supports the ninth lamp, the shamash.
