The work comprises a white, curving, ceramic base on which nine, variously coloured bowls are situated. The shamash is set apart at the highest point of the support, at its left-hand extremity. The lamp represents the winding path of life, with its array of colours, and offers a minimalist interpretation of the Hanukkah’s theme, in a manner not far removed from contemporary design.
