Luce tra terra e cielo

86 x 70 x 3,5 cm

Acrylic colours on wood

The lamp consists of two intersecting shapes, a square (earth) and a circle (sky). The candle functioning as the shamash is placed at the center of the earth and passes on the light, expressed by the void between the shapes that make red pigments fade into yellow, to eight small candles rising from the upper edges of the square, and radiating light to the sphere representing the sky, which acquires three-dimensionality thanks to a blue lateral shading.
