Bronze and steel

This work sees a collection of aggregated parts assembled in layers to create a natural, organic quality. The central section bears one of the artist’s key motifs, a sort of mythological being. Above it perches an irregularly-shaped horizontal bar that holds eight oil lamps positioned in a highly non-uniform arrangement. A rod of spring steel is lodged on the left-hand side. It holds the shamash, again in the form of a dish-shaped oil lamp.
