The work consists of a borosilicate glass candelabrum that was blown and shaped entirely by hand by master glassmaker Massimo Lunardon, who has a workshop close to Vicenza. It was the material itself – extraordinarily clear, visually weightless and resistant to heat and thermal shock – that provided the artist with the starting point for creating his Hanukkah lamp.
